A building with a history
Maison Brunon is located in the centre of Bruges in one of its most historic streets, the Riddersstraat. This name refers to the knights who originally settled here in the 14th century.
Maison Brunon was the home of city architect Jean-Brunon Rudd. In 1830, Jean-Brunon Rudd was appointed city architect and director of public works. During his 40-year career as city architect, he was able to leave his mark on the entire Bruges cityscape. His preferred style was Neoclassicism
